Assistant Director

The Assistant Director will have primary responsibility for the program management of the MSMS program including but not limited to: operations, event planning and student services. Reporting to the Associate Director of Masters & PhD Center and working closely with the faculty leadership of the MSMS program as well as the career lead(s) for the MSMS program, this position will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the student experience. Responsibilities include, program management and administration, coordination with program career team, corporate partners, managing operations and budgets, student events and community building. As a member of the Masters & PhD Center, the Assistant Director will share in the planning and execution of Masters & PhD Center sponsored events throughout the year including and not limited to program orientations, commencement, coordination of other events to enhance graduate student engagement in all programs, administrative and on the ground support for field seminars, and serving as an advisor for student organizations as needed. The Assistant Director will support other MS programs as needed.
Assistant Director of Student Engagement
Undergraduate Academic & Career Development Center
Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Undergraduate Student Experience and Services, the Assistant Director of Student Engagement leads and manages the planning, implementation, and evaluation of student engagement events, organizations, and programming aligned with Questrom’s and the Undergraduate Academic & Career Development Center’s (UDC) mission and strategic plan. This positions responsibilities include oversight of undergraduate student clubs, organizations, and programing; event and conference management; and oversight of the front desk, office operations, and communications. Specifically, undergraduate programs and events including annual Open Houses for prospective students and parents, Orientation, and Parents Weekend, as well as other student engagement and community-building events. This position will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships and collaborations within Questrom and BU to holistically support student organizations and programing. This role will also supervise a Senior Program Coordinator and several student employees who support the UDC office operations.
Associate Dean for Industry Relations, Career Services, and Alumni Initiatives
Industry Relations, Career Services, and Alumni Initiatives
Reporting directly to the Dean, the Associate Dean for Industry Relations, Career Services, and Alumni Initiatives will set the vision and lead a team responsible for nurturing existing and developing new relationships with alumni, industry leaders, and internal BU partners to enhance the student experience and career outcomes, advance our research, build our capabilities, and foster stronger ties to the greater Boston Community.
Working collaboratively with Questrom academic program directors, admissions officers, BU corporate relations, development and alumni relations representatives, key faculty, other deans, and staff, the Associate Dean is responsible for expanding and nurturing productive relationships with corporate representatives and other hiring organizations to proactively market Questrom, promote the talents of Questrom students, generate appropriate internship and employment opportunities, research collaborations, and curricular engagement.
The incumbent must build cross-functional expertise among staff and create a synergistic team that is nimble and well-equipped to contribute to the employer development & relations, career coaching, and alumni engagement mission of the School.
This is a results-oriented position. The individual must be a strategic thinker who leverages quantitative and qualitative inputs to optimize use of resources and to meet goals. Industry, career, and alumni areas will be supported by expanded implementation of and investment in the Salesforce CRM to track on-going engagements in a coordinated way.
This is a newly established/consolidated group. The incumbent will be expected to develop strategy, evaluate and build the infrastructure, lead execution of initiatives, redefine success measures, and effectively lead the culture change needed to reorient how Questrom thinks about outcomes and key partnerships and collaborations.
Associate Director, Financial Services
Finance and Administration
As a key member of the Questrom School of Business Finance & Administration team, the Associate Director, Financial Services is expected to work with a significant level of autonomy in the areas of financial reporting and tracking, Purchasing Card (PCard) and Concur travel policies and procedures, and expense and purchasing administration. This role will also develop, coordinate, and conduct financial training for faculty and staff, specifically as part of on-boarding. Additionally, this position will collaborate with colleagues across Questrom to improve our financial transaction processes and collect and analyze data and use that to inform school leadership regarding expenditure levels and trends and the development of new guidelines and policies. This role will also directly supervise a team of financial administrative professionals.
Business & Market Intelligence Analyst
Decision Support
The Business & Market Intelligence Analyst will work extensively with data and be responsible for using dashboards, reports, data models, and conducting analyses to inform the strategic decision making of the Questrom School of Business. In particular, the analyst will be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of dashboards in Microsoft PowerBI, ensuring data validity and functionality, and for developing new dashboards. The analyst will be responsible for gathering data from multiple systems/offices and integrating various data sources to facilitate reporting. The analyst will also be responsible for the engagement of external data sources to inform demand forecasting and market analysis for new or changing academic programs.
Department Administrator
Faculty Actions and Support
As a member of the Faculty Actions & Support team, reporting to the Director of Faculty Actions & Support, the primary responsibility of this role is to manage both daily and high-level administrative functions for multiple academic departments within the Questrom School of Business. Responsibilities include management of department-specific projects and communications, department-level coordination of faculty appointment and reappointment paperwork and course planning activities, coordination of faculty recruitment activities, faculty training and on-boarding, initial submission of faculty concur reports, providing support for the faculty annual report process and My CV system, and other responsibilities as necessary. The Administrator will work with members of the Questrom Finance and Administration team as needed to ensure adherence to School and University workflows, policies, procedures, and deadlines. This role will be the primary administrative contact for faculty in the departments they support.
Digital Communication Manager
Graduate Admissions and Financial Aid Office
As a central member of the Questrom School of Business Graduate Admissions and Financial Aid Office (GAFAO) and reporting to the Director of Online MBA Admissions, the Digital Communication Manager will have major responsibility for daily management of admissions-related marketing and communications for the BU Questrom suite of graduate programs. This includes a specific focus towards the Online MBA. Digital communications will include a variety of media such as email, Questrom web pages, webinars, and virtual fairs, with the goal of generating and sustaining candidate interest in applying to Questrom graduate programs. Additionally, the Digital Communication Manager will create and execute a communications strategy for the Online MBA program, developing original content that reinforces key messages, features and positioning of the program. This person will also share information about relevant MBA initiatives at the School in order to grow applications and enrollments.
Director of Program Innovation

The Director of Program Innovation, reporting to the Senior Associate Dean of Online Learning, is an essential member of the Online MBA (OMBA) leadership team whose overarching focus is on ensuring a positive learner lifecycle and also includes the Executive Director, Director of Online MBA Admissions, Director of Student Success, and the Director of the Learning Facilitators.
The Director of Program Innovation will establish systems to ensure that our technology, design, and delivery functions operate in unison, and will manage a range of initiatives along with this established system geared towards continuous improvements within modules (MODs) and across the program. This role requires one to operate comfortably with ambiguity and be able to manage many cross dependent work streams. The Director of Program Innovation will work with the leadership and key stakeholders to devise strategies, drive adoption of new approaches and review results, to ensure that improvements help address medium to long-term goals of OMBA.
This is a high impact role that will help ensure that OMBA continues to innovate in all areas through a relentless focus on robust systems and mechanisms to ensure continuous improvement across parts of the system (technology, development, and delivery). The ideal candidate will have the foundational familiarity with the critical challenges of delivering educational programs at scale as well as a working knowledge of the factors (technology process and people) essential for continuous improvement under conditions of continuous deployment.
Overall, the Director of Program Innovation will help define and implement the program strategy with program leadership and build the roadmap for process and planning improvements. The candidate in this role will bring expertise in program management, internal/external stakeholder management, process improvement, analytical and data gathering skills and communication skills across key stakeholders.
Executive Director, OMBA Experience

The Executive Director for the Online MBA (OMBA) Experience is a highly experienced administrator with a demonstrated track record of working across teams and functional areas to deliver academic programming in a fast-paced and rigorous learning environment. As such, the Executive Director is a critical member of the leadership team that includes the Sr. Associate Dean Online Learning, Sr. Educational Technologist and the Director of Instruction Production Services (IPS). The Executive Director provides strategic leadership for the overall learner lifecycle for the OMBA program and possesses knowledge of the adult learners needs/expectations as well as a clear understanding of processes needed to attract, retain, support and ultimately graduate engaged learners alumni. To support this overall lifecycle, the Executive Director must orchestrate the specific functional roles that are involved: the faculty director, the director of marketing/admissions, the director of student success, the director of the learning facilitators and the director program innovation and improvement. Given the scale of the OMBA program, the Executive Directors key role will be integrating these functional leaders in an agile and holistic fashion to deliver a superior OMBA experience for all involved.
Duties include:
- Help operationalize the marketing/admissions strategy for the program.
- Further develop the operations and the delivery infrastructure that support a positive student experience.
- Lead and supervise the Online MBA student success team.
- Collaborate across school and university departments to build key partnerships important to delivery of the program (e.g., Grad degree programs@scale online unit, registrar, library, Questrom IT and central IT/EdTech, etc.).
- Organize training resources for instructors and staff to bolster the student experience and build a sense of community.
- Onboard staff, faculty, and other program stakeholders to policies, procedures, and program elements.
- Help ensure students are supported in building personal and teaming skills to work in a dynamic global academic environment.
Overall, the Executive Director is responsible for the implementation of a strategy and operational excellence to enhance the student experience of the Questrom Online MBA.
Graduate Programs Communications Specialist
Marketing and Communications
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer within the Questrom School of Business, this positions main goal is to grow community engagement for our graduate students in residential programs through functions and responsibilities such as: communications strategic planning and analytics, development of branded communications, digital and social marketing, and marketing of new initiatives and events. The person in this role will lead and manage the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the communication strategies, including social media strategies, to ensure they are aligned with each graduate programs mission and strategic plan. In addition, the person in this role will be responsible for tracking and reporting on the effectiveness of communications outreach and events strategy. Finally, this role will work with the Questrom events planning team to organize graduate program celebrations around commencement.
Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer is responsible for the concept, creation, and completion of strategic, brand-based print and electronic design projects that advance the mission, vision, and values of Boston University Questrom School of Business (Questrom) as well as the specific goals of the individual projects. The Graphic Designer has on-going responsibilities for projects and production, and the work that supports this. The graphic designer collaborates with the entire MarCom team in support of the goals and objectives of the department.
Operations and Project Manager

The Operations and Project Manager of the Center for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion will assist in fostering the empowerment of Questrom School of Business students to become skillful problem-solvers and experienced decision-makers, well positioned to emerge as the business leaders of tomorrow. This position will report to the Director of the Center for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion. This position will work closely with the Center Director to help meet the needs and ensure the success of Questrom students, including championing our Ascend Fellowship Program and myQuestrom student organizations. Furthermore, the Operations and Project Manager will oversee and manage operations, communications, and reporting functions of the Center and provide administrative logistics to the Director of the Center and the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Production Assistant

We seek a candidate who is passionate about joining our growing Online MBA team. The Production Assistant (PA) plays an important role in the preparation for and delivery of live broadcast class sessions for the Questrom School of Business Online MBA program. The PA maintains studio equipment for peak performance, runs equipment during the broadcast, and trains and supervises the student production team. This role operates in a professional office environment, as well as in broadcast studios and production booths. This is a part-time (50%) role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- End to end technical production management
- Leading the setup, wiring and operation of high resolution audio visual equipment, computers for video playback, screen switchers, video switchers, GFX computers and based video recording devices if required

The Salesforce Solutions Architect is an intermediate/senior professional role that may work on multiple projects as a developer or as the subject matter expert. This individual will participate in projects that typically require working knowledge of various Salesforce products such as Salesforce Advisor Link, Community Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Tableau CRM Plus or have a mix of non-Salesforce CRM systems. This position will be responsible for operational support and maintenance of various applications enabling Questrom’s processes and systems.
Senior Program Coordinator
Feld Center for Industry Alliances
The Senior Program Coordinator position at the Boston University Questrom School of Business is the face of the Feld Center for Industry Alliances (Feld Center) front office, responsible for greeting and engaging with students, employers, alumni, and internal partners who come through Questrom’s Feld Center. This person will assist with marketing & communications creation and support activities such as Feld site content, newsletters, social media, and flyers while also acting as the supervisor for the student staff of the Feld Center and coordinate staffing schedules. Furthermore, the incumbent will process all paperwork and documentation related to the financials of the Feld Center and will work with Feld Center leadership to monitor and control the budget of the Feld Center. Senior Program Coordinator

Reporting to the Program Manager, Learning Communities and Curricular Initiatives, the Senior Program Coordinator supports the administration of the MBA Center to ensure that the Center communications, operations, and services are executed with the highest quality and satisfaction. Requiring professional communication skills, this position provides outstanding customer service as the primary first point of contact for students, faculty, and staff visiting and contacting the MBA Center. Providing web page edits and monitoring the MBA Center social media presence, this position requires strong attention to detail and proactive approach to staying knowledgeable of activities of the MBA Center and its partners across the school. Student Success Specialist

Questrom School of Business is seeking qualified applicants to join our growing team of student success professionals for the Online MBA program. The Student Success Specialist will be responsible for monitoring students’ academic progress, providing guidance in determining students’ interests and objectives, and helping students to locate and navigate the resources they need to successfully complete their degree programs. In addition, Student Success Specialists execute events and programs to foster community throughout the program.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive academic advisement to a portfolio of Online MBA students
- Help assigned students to plan and map out their path to degree completion
- Participate in outreach efforts to re-enroll students each semester
- Monitor student progress in order to intervene, guide, and recommend solutions to academic difficulties
